RFP Design Experience
I worked at PSAV (now Encore), a corporate event company, as part of the creative services development team. My role focused on designing presentations and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for new business opportunities. Whenever an RFP or potential client project came in, I handled the design elements to ensure a polished, professional presentation.
One notable project involved a major client whose contract was up for renewal. The sales team wanted to submit an outstanding RFP to secure the renewal, especially as mistakes during their previous event had put the contract at risk. I took the lead in designing the presentation, adhering to IBM's brand guidelines for colors, fonts, and overall style. This included creating a clean, visually engaging layout in InDesign and using Photoshop to produce mockups that helped illustrate the stage design. The goal was to make the information flow seamlessly while creating a compelling visual experience.
The result exceeded expectations. The client was highly impressed with the RFP, praising it as the best they had ever seen. As a result, we secured the contract renewal, which led to three corporate leadership events annually and generated over $300,000 in revenue. The client’s feedback even reached the VP of my company, highlighting the design as a standout factor in their decision to continue the partnership.

Brand Style Guides
I’ve had the opportunity to work with several startups to develop new brands from the ground up. In many cases, these businesses came to me with just a logo or an idea, but no clear direction for their fonts, colors, or imagery. To bridge that gap, I started offering brand style guides alongside website design services.
This process, which typically requires a full team at an ad agency, inspired me to take on the role of Art Director. I created a detailed questionnaire to guide the development of a creative brief, which I then used to inform my work as a web designer.
I helped clients align their brand identity with their website, providing them with the tools and consistency they needed to extend their branding across marketing materials. By going above and beyond to deliver cohesive and polished results, I not only elevated their websites but also saved costs for clients who had a clear vision. Working directly with me on their brand style and messaging allowed them to achieve their goals efficiently and effectively.
